The person behind the colors

Hello, I’m Jonathan.
Still becoming.

I’m an Indonesian living in Taichung, Taiwan. I came here to improve my Mandarin, earned my business degree, and stayed to pursue a Global MBA at Tunghai University.

Outside class, I help manage Jo Guest House, my family’s business in West Jakarta. I’m curious about digital marketing, useful websites, and how AI can help people. I learn best by making something real.

Away from a screen? Guitar, singing, and a good café.

02 / Curiosity, put to work

Ideas are good.
Making them helps.

Websites, classroom activities, marketing, and business systems. Real projects that help me connect what I learn with what people need.

My projects so far
Hospitality · Website & copyFamily business

Jo Guest House

A welcoming online home for my family’s guest house in West Jakarta, with clear room information and an easy path to direct enquiries.

WordPress & Elementor · Copywriting · Claude
Inside the project: Jo Guest House

The need. Give prospective guests a simple way to understand the rooms, location, and budget-friendly offering.

My contribution. Built the WordPress website, wrote the room descriptions, and connected Claude through the AI Engine plugin. I also explored visibility in AI search and created a separate HTML website concept.

My perspective. I help manage the family business, taking care of facilities and day-to-day operations. The website is an extension of that work.

Education · Interactive web appWorking prototype

jojoESLarena

Turning vocabulary and grammar practice into something students can play, with six classroom game formats and tools for creating activities.

HTML, CSS & JavaScript · Classroom activities
Inside the project: jojoESLarena

The need. Help teachers turn their own words and questions into activities for a projector or classroom screen.

What I built. Matching games, flashcards, Open the Box, sentence building, Robot vs Pigs, and a Mystery Room, supported by activity builders and browser-based saving.

Where it started. My English lesson materials for beginner and eighth-grade classes, made with Canva and PowerPoint. The app takes that hands-on teaching interest into an interactive format.

Status. A local working prototype. Activities are stored in the browser.

Marketing · Copy & creativeTeam project

Websider

Indonesian copy and marketing assets for a web design team, from Instagram carousels to AI-assisted video ads and website concepts.

Claude · Higgsfield · CapCut · Canva
Inside the project: Websider

The need. Explain web design services in straightforward Indonesian and create marketing content suited to social platforms.

My contribution. Copywriting, Instagram carousels, video ads, and animated ads. My work includes a completed video ad campaign for logistics client XCO, alongside Websider website concepts in HTML and Next.js.

The workflow. Claude for creative direction, Higgsfield for video, and CapCut for text and finishing. I add text during editing to keep it readable and accurate.

Operations · System prototypeIn progress

Nexus Ops

A pro-bono production management project connecting raw materials, the production floor, and finished goods in one planned workflow.

System design · Claude · Supabase planned
Inside the project: Nexus Ops

The need. Connect three areas of production so materials, work orders, and finished stock can be managed together.

My contribution. System planning and a static prototype, with five user roles considered in the design. The first deliverable is a full system design document.

Next steps. Connect the prototype to Supabase, then add login and role-based access. This is a learning project in progress, developed pro bono with the client’s awareness of my experience level.

Also on my workbench

An AI news digest, Telegram bots, and data practice with the Iris dataset and a student performance case study.

03 / A work in progress

Know my strengths.
Make room to grow.

I’m curious, practical, and happiest when I’m trying something. I also know the parts of myself that need more attention.

Strengths & weaknesses

What I bring

My strengths

  • Curiosity across disciplines

I connect ideas from business, languages, design, and AI.

  • Learning by doing

A real example and a practical task help me turn an idea into understanding.

  • A practical business perspective

Managing a family guest house keeps me close to everyday operations and guest needs.

What I’m working on

My weaknesses

  • Focus & remembering details

I can lose focus or forget things. Clear steps and a roadmap help me stay on track.

  • Confidence & fear of failure

I sometimes doubt myself and worry about setbacks. Building experience is part of my learning process.

  • Depth, not only breadth

I like exploring many topics. Staying with one when it gets difficult is an area I want to improve.

“Being proud of myself and continuing to improve, so that I’m better than my previous self.”

My perspective, in my own words.
